Old Hidden Vale is a 10,000 acre working cattle property that features the Peppers Hidden Vale Retreat. The property hosts the annual Flight Centre Cycle Epic, Australia’s longest running mountain bike marathon.

In 2007, the property was gazetted as a Nature Refuge and the habitat hosts a wide range of native fauna can been seen on the property including the brush-tailed phascogales, koalas, white-striped freetail bats, lace monitors  several skink, wallaby and bird species. All of this is less than 70 minutes from the CBD of Brisbane.

The property also offers a rustic cabin accommodation experience suitable for families and mountain bike groups.

The races are conducted on the property single track. The course includes the Camel, Aeroplane, Western Creek, Cordial, Grinder, FTA and Epic Tracks.

The Old Hidden Vale single track is an ongoing project. The Epic Track was completed in August 2006 specifically developed for the Flight Centre Cycle Epic. Phase two and three were completed in July 2007 and July 2008 respectively. The planned track network will exceed 100 kilometres and is due for completion in 2009.

Phase four has been specifically designed for the Merida 24 Hour MTB Race and offers riders two course choices.

The fifth phase features a new track that climbs up the Little Liverpool Range. and has sweeping views of the Mulgowie Valley plus a rewarding double track downhill back to the cabins.
